The Very Well-Known Highway to Success - Quick, Smooth and Socially Acceptable
“If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time. — Steve Jobs
The Real Road to Success
“Process is Greater than the Goal” – Says GOD (Or an Anthropomorphic Concept)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. — Book of Psalms (King James Version)

You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction. — Bhagavad Gita
The Many Lies About Success
We lie to ourselves and we are lied to by our family, our friends, our teachers, our coworkers, our bosses, our neighbors and of course the media concerning what is Success and how we can get It …
It is not ours or their fault that we get lied to, it’s that no one wants to hear the Truth or has the courage to believe it.
The lies are legion –
- Success is Socially Defined – That is you should count yourself Successful if everyone thinks you are successful
- Success should be Seen – This usually means a better car, a bigger house, a posher address, a more impressive title and maybe even a better looking spouse
- Success comes from these – Hard Work, Your Knowledge, Your Network, Your Family, Your School, Your Genes, Your Faith
- Being Successful is a State, a Condition – Either you are successful or you are not. It is always about the destination, the goal Not the Journey, Not the Process when it comes to Success.
Of All the above lies, which one(s) do you think has harmed you the most?
